Es un cineasta, director, productor y documentalista uruguayo. Comenzó sus estudios en cine en la década del 70. A lo largo de su vida profesional colaboró (en diferentes roles) en varios cortometrajes como: Apenas una Ilusión (1977), Liliana (1979), Mataron a Venancio Flores (1982), Donde había la pureza implacable del olvido (1998), además de cortometrajes de promoción para Cinemateca Uruguaya. Trabajó durante 30 años en Cinemateca y fue director, hasta el año 2021, del festival Internacional de Cine para Niños y Jóvenes, Divercine. Además cuenta con piezas audiovisuales en el ámbito de la pantalla chica como el programa La Banda (2006) quien fue realizado de niños para niños. En cuanto a su bibliografía destaca el libro Diez años de vídeo uruguayo (1996) que escribió junto a Graciela Dacosta.
